PALAU 2005
The Republic of Palau is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean, some 500 miles east of the Philippines. The main islands of Babeldaob, Meyuns, Malakai, and Koror are volcanic and mountainous with an interior jungle. These and more than 200 smaller coral islands are mostly surrounded by the same barrier reef in an archipelago stretching over 400 miles. CEDAM International ranks Palau Number 1 in its list of Seven Underwater Wonders of the World.
